Growing Up in Ireland Team

Growing Up in Ireland - NLSCI has been commissioned by the Department of Health & Children through the Office of the Minister for Children in association with the Department of Social & Family Affairs and the Central Statistics Office. A consortium of researchers led by the ESRI and The Children’s Research Centre at Trinity College Dublin has been commissioned to carry out the study.



The study is co-directed by Professor James Williams, Research Professor, ESRI and Professor Sheila Greene, Professor of Childhood Research and Director of the Children’s Research Centre at Trinity College Dublin. Professor James Williams is Principal Investigator.



Professors Williams and Greene are supported by a project management team of four Theme Directors as well as seven research fellows and a communications and administration function. The fieldwork is implemented by a team of fieldwork support officers and operations management. In addition a panel of 45 experts, drawn from academic and research institutions from Ireland, Britain and Sweden, provide advice and input into the study.
