The Economic and Social Research Institute is located at Whitaker Square, Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2. This is a pedestrian only square that is not immediately visible from the surrounding streets. The most useful landmark (for Dubliners) is probably the Ferryman pub on the corner of Cardiff Lane and Sir John Rogerson's Quay. Deliveries can be made through the Hanover Street East carpark entrance. The area is currently not very well served by buses but the 74 B runs from Cardiff Lane to Templogue and there are a number of buses running along Pearse Street. The nearest stand for rental bicycles is in Pearse Street near to Westland Row. ParkingThere is on-street disk parking in Cardiff Lane and Hanover Street East. The nearest public car park is at Gallery Quay and is currently accessible by a somewhat circular route from Cardiff Lane. The situation is evolving with recent opening of the Samuel Beckett Bridge and the impending completion of building work in the Misery Hill area.
