Fraudulent Emails

Since July 2008 we have had reports from individuals, particularly in North America, that they have received emails purporting to come from the human resource manager at the ESRI (different names are used e.g. Dr Greg Bowman, Dr Michael Carl, Dr Jimmy Cummings, Dr James English, Dr Henry Martin) and offering either employment or the chance to earn money by processing payments from clients & donors.

These are FRAUDULENT and have not been sent on our behalf.

These people are not associated in any way with ESRI. The Institute does not recruit people in this way. Please forward any such emails to us so that we can report them to the appropriate authorities. Please do not give your personal details and bank account information to anyone who is claiming to be from the Economic and Social Research Institute.

You should forward the email to the service provider concerned, e.g. if the email is from a gmail address you will find instructions at   http://mail.google.com/support/bin/request.py?contact_type=abuse_phishing .

If you receive an email mentioning the Economic and Social Research Institute, and that you think is suspicious, please forward it, preferably as an attachment, to admin@esri.ie
