Growing Up in Ireland Data Workshop

Growing Up in Ireland will host a Data Workshop to promote and support the use of the Child Cohort datasets on Tuesday 13th March from 10am to 1pm at the offices of the Economic and Social Research Institute in Whitaker Square, Dublin.

Training will cover a range of topics and is designed to give a comprehensive overview of the conduct of the study, the data themselves and supporting documentation, as well as how to match datasets.

Growing Up in Ireland is the national longitudinal study of children in Ireland.  It is funded by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, with a contribution from The Atlantic Philanthropies in Phase 2. The study is managed and overseen by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs in association with the Central Statistics Office. It is carried out by a consortium of researchers led by the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and Trinity College Dublin.

About ISSDA

The Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) is located in University College, Dublin. It holds a range of data from surveys and official statistics (such as the Census) and makes them readily available to users in the academic, public and commercial sectors.  More details on ISSDA are available at http://www.ucd.ie/issda
