NEW PROJECTS

'What's it Worth? The perception of economic losses and gains'
Pete Lunn & Richard Layte
The project aims to develop a new theory of “loss aversion” (people value the same thing more highly when they own it than when they do not), using insights from the study of human perception. The theory is relevant to a range of current policy questions, including how to value environmental resources, wage bargaining in a slowing economy and the market impact of taxes.
