Financial Exclusion and Over-indebtedness: Challenges and Policy Responses

This Conference is being organised by the ESRI in association with the Social Inclusion Division of the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, the Policy Institute at Trinity College and the Social Finance Foundation. Research Symposium: "Employment and the Crisis: Work, Migration, Unemployment"
Venue: Trinity College Dublin

The aim of this one-day research symposium is to bring together ongoing research on employment, unemployment, inequality and living conditions in Ireland today; it places the Irish experience in some comparative context; it aims to stimulate further research. The symposium is being organised by the Policy Institute together with the TCD Employment Research Centre MSc in European Employment Studies and the ESRI. PROJECTS

ACCESS
Edgar Morgenroth, Richard S. J. Tol
The ESRI will be a partner to the ACCESS project (EU FP7), researching the implications of climate change in the Arctic. During this four year project, the ESRI will study the impact of the opening up of the Northwest and the Northeast Passage on intercontinental transport. The ESRI will also study the effect of climate change on the potential for tourism in the Arctic.
