Richard Sinnott

Richard Sinnott was awarded a Research Fellowship from the ESRI in 1976 to study for a PhD at Georgetown University, Washington DC. He became a Lecturer in Politics and subsequently Professor of Political Science in UCD, where he is also Vice Principal for Research in the College of Human Sciences. His research has focused on comparative political culture and political behaviour. He has held research fellowships at the European University, Florence, at the Centre for Science and International Affairs in Harvard, at Nuffield College Oxford and at Waseda University in Tokyo.
