Ian Irvine

Ian Irvine was awarded a Research Fellowship from the ESRI (1971-1974) to study for his MA in Economics at the University of Essex. He then went on to obtain a PhD in Economics at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He returned to the ESRI as a visiting academic in 1981 until 1982. He is currently Professor of Economics at Concordia University, Quebec, Canada. His research interests include public economics, public policy, tobacco analysis and economic inequality.
