Seán Ó Riain

Sean O'Riain was a Research Assistant in the ESRI from 1990 until 1992. He was awarded a Research Fellowship by the ESRI (1992-1995) to study for a PhD in Sociology at the University of California at Berkeley. He was subsequently Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Davis. In 2003, he was appointed Professor of Sociology at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. His research interests include political economy, political sociology, work and inequality, especially with regard to the ?knowledge society?.
