Jerry Sexton joined the ESRI in 1981 and retired as Research Professor in 2004. His ESRI publications can be found on the ESRI website. Prior to joining the ESRI he worked as a Senior Statistician in the Central Statistics Office, Eurostat and the OECD. Since retiring from the ESRI he has engaged in consultancy work. His research interests include labour market issues both in an Irish and international context, employment forecasting, demography and migration. He is a past President of the Statistical and Social Inquiry Society of Ireland and was a member of the National Statistics Board from 1984 to 1994.
