Brian Colgan

Brian Colgan worked as a Research Assistant with the SWITCH team (August 2014-2016). He holds a B.A. in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Economics from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. Prior to joining the ESRI, Brian worked with the Statelessness Department at Tilburg University examining the potential for Microfinance to aid stateless communities.
As a member of the SWITCH team Brian was involved in examining the impact of different taxation and welfare policies and the modeling of healthcare entitlements using microsimulation techniques.
Brian is currently a PhD candidate/Junior lecturer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
