David Duffy

David Duffy worked in the Economic Analysis Division at the Economic and Social Research Institute, Dublin between 1996 and 2016.
Within the macro-economic division he worked in the Quarterly Economic Commentary. His main research area was the housing market. He was responsible for the PRTB Rent Index, Consumer Sentiment Index for Ireland, sponsored by KBC Bank, the Savings Index sponsored by Nationwide (UK) Ireland, and the AIB Housing Market Index. He also managed the permanent tsb House Price Index until 2010.
He was the lead researcher on the Residential Property Research Programme, funded by NAMA and the IBF.
He left the Institute in 2016 to become Director of Property Industry Ireland.
