Valentina Tonei

Research Affiliate

Valentina Tonei worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the ESRI (February and December 2016). She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of York (UK), a MSc in Economics from the University of Bologna (Italy) and a Bachelor Degree in Business and Economics from the University of Padua (Italy). Her primary research interest is health economics and in particular the empirical analysis of the determinants of health and child development. Her current research includes the investigation of inequalities in health and the use of GP services by children and the determinants of parental investment in children. She is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York, working on a project on parental investments in children funded by the British Academy.
