Teresa Monteiro

Teresa Monteiro joined ESRI as a Research Assistant in September 2017 where she focused on macroeconomics and the housing market. Her responsibilities included, participating in the Quarterly Economic Commentary, the ESRI Savings & Investment Index and Housing Sentiment Index, the RTB Rent Report and the Housing Research Program. Teresa holds an MSc in Applied Econometrics and Forecasting from the University of Lisbon, an MSc in Economics from Tilburg University and a BSc in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics. Prior to working at the ESRI, she worked as a trainee in the Economics Department of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg; as a Research Analyst in McKinsey & Company in Costa Rica and as a Microprudential Supervisor in the Portuguese Central Bank. She left the ESRI in 2018 for a Marie Curie Fellow position in the EU Global Mobility of Employees (GLOMO) project. Her PhD project focuses on migrants labour market performance and the implications of gender-specific policies, her host institution is the IAB in Nuremberg and the secondment institutions are the University of Essex, University of Toulouse and the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
