Abstract: Several papers using the SWITCH model are planned for 2010. The first of these looks at the distributional impact of policy responses to Ireland?s fiscal crisis. (T. Callan, B. Nolan and J.R. Walsh, 2010, The Economic Crisis, Public Sector Pay and the Income Distribution, Further papers will explore the overall impact of the crisis on the income distribution and measures of income poverty, and the potential role of a ?Universal Social Contribution? as pre-announced in Budget 2010.
