Abstract: This project, funded by the National Disability Authority, focuses on employment-related transitions among people with a disability. We examine in detail the factors influencing employment entry and exit and ask whether these differ depending on whether the person has a disability. The research draws on the Quarterly National Household Survey data, collected by the Central Statistics Office, for the period from 2010 to 2015. The ESRI researchers involved are Dorothy Watson, Bertrand Maître and Martina Lawless. A report on the project will be published by the ESRI in mid- to late-2016.
