One element of this research strand focuses on eligibility to healthcare entitlements such as medical cards (with entitlements mainly based on an income test) and GP Visit cards (where entitlements may be based on income or on age). The impact of changes to income limits and or age criteria on numbers eligible for cards will be examined. The extent and nature of “non-take-up” of entitlements to GP visit cards will also be examined.
