Abstract: This study commissioned by the European Commission will analyse and identify investment needs, financing gaps and obstacles to investment for firms with significant growth potential and innovation capacity across sectors and EU countries. In particular, the analysis will link innovation activities and growth ambitions for different groups of firms across sectors and countries to investments requirements in terms of external financing over the next two to three years (2016-2018). The results of this research will contribute to identify general investment needs along selected industrial value chains that could potentially be addressed by the European Strategic Investment Fund.
