National Census of Schools

About this Research

The national census of primary and post-primary schools is now currently underway. The survey is being carried out by the ESRI and Amárach research and is part of a wider study of special classes, commissioned by the National Council for Special Education (NCSE), which aims to explore how special classes are working for pupils with special educational needs. The purpose of the survey is to collect important information about the operation of special classes across schools in Ireland.

Confidentiality
The information provided by schools in response to the questionnaire will be treated as strictly confidential by the ESRI and Amárach research. At no time will the identity of schools participating in the study be revealed to anyone outside the study team.
