Centre for Internationalisation and Competitiveness

The Centre for Internationalisation and Competitiveness aims to develop and strengthen the ESRI research and policy advice on the analysis of factors and policies underlying economic growth and competitiveness in the context of increased global interdependencies.

The research programmes of the Centre for Internationalisation and Competitiveness cover the following thematic areas:

International Economics
• Macroeconomic effects of the EMU and policies in the euro area
• International economic linkages and cross-country spillover effects
• International trade and investment and firm performance
• International capital markets and financial market integration

Technology, Innovation and Productivity
• New technology diffusion and economic performance
• Entrepreneurship, innovation and productivity growth
• Science, R&D and innovation policy

Dr Iulia Siedschlag is Head of the Centre for Internationalisation and Competitiveness . In addition to establishing, managing and participating in the research activities of the Centre she will increase and foster interactions with European and international researchers, networks and institutions working in the areas of the Centre’s research interests. The ESRI provides the necessary administrative support for the Center and its activities.
