Assessing the impact of school building closures during COVID-19 on second-level teaching and learning
A research study is being carried out to understand how second-level schools in Ireland are adapting teaching and learning during the period of school building closures prompted by the coronavirus. The study aims to capture the views of post-primary principals on a range of issues relating to student engagement, teacher workload and whether a digital divide has impacted on education during COVID-19.
It is hoped that results will be published in June and will provide valuable insights for educators, school leaders, policymakers, students and parents. The work forms part of the Electronic Communications Programme, jointly funded by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and the Environment and the Commission for Communications Regulation.
