ESRI Research Conference “Disability through the Lifecourse”

Venue ESRI, Whitaker Square, Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2 

This half-day multidisciplinary disability research conference will focus on recent work by researchers at the ESRI on a range of current disability policy issues. Both social and economic perspectives will be explored, and topics will cover aspects of disability through the lifecourse such as children and disability; work and adulthood; mental health and costs of disability. The keynote speaker will be Sheila Riddell, Professor of Inclusion and Diversity at the University of Edinburgh. 

Keynote Speaker 

The keynote speaker will be Professor Sheila Riddell, Professor of Inclusion and Diversity, University of Edinburgh. Her research interests are in the broad field of equality and social inclusion, with particular reference to gender, social class and disability in the fields of education, training, employment and social care. Title of keynote lecture: Disability Through the Lifecourse: Intersections of Social Class and Disability
