Deirdre Robertson is a Researcher Officer with the behavioural economics team in the ESRI. A psychologist by training her research focuses on how perceptions influence health, behaviour and decision-making.

Deirdre holds an MSc in psychology from the University of Sussex and a PhD in psychology from Trinity College Dublin. Prior to joining the ESRI Deirdre spent time as a postdoctoral researcher in Columbia University in New York and as an Irish Research Council postdoctoral fellow in Trinity College Dublin.

Deirdre uses insights from cognitive psychology and behavioural economics to develop experiments that can pre-test policy interventions in a diverse range of areas.
