Richard Breen

Richard Breen was a Research Officer in the ESRI from 1980 until 1991, when he took up the post of Professor of Sociology at Queen?s University, Belfast. He subsequently moved to the European University Institute in Florence and to Nuffield College, Oxford, where he was an Official Fellow. In January 2007 he joined Yale University, where he is currently Professor of Sociology and Co-Director of the Center for Research on Inequalities and the Life Course. He is also a Senior Research Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford and Fellow of the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin fur Sozialforschung. He is a Fellow of the British Academy, a Member of the Royal Irish Academy and a Member of Academia Europaea. See
