Raffaele Grotti

Raffaele worked in the Social Research Division as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from October 2016 to October 2018. He conducted research on several topics including poverty and social exclusion, inequalities in the labour market, and discrimination. Raffaele holds a PhD in Sociology and Social Research from the University of Trento (Italy). As part of his PhD, he worked as a Research Assistant in the ERC project ‘Families of Inequalities’ (FamIne) and was a visiting Research Assistant at the Pompeu Fabra University, Spain. He also holds an MSc and a BA in Sociology and Social Research. Prior to joining the ESRI, Raffaele was Research Fellow at the University of Trento, where he also taught courses on quantitative methods. His main research interests include social and economic inequalities, income dynamics, and welfare and labour market studies in comparative perspective. Currently, Raffaele is a Research Fellow working in the project CRITEVENTS at the European University Institute (Italy).
