The social portrait of people of working age is the third in a series that was commissioned by the Office for Social Inclusion from the Economic and Social Research Institute. The portrait provides a statistical description and analysis of people of working age in Ireland today, with a particular focus on groups at risk of poverty and social exclusion, including one-parent households, the long-term unemployed and the “working poor”. It is designed to be read by a wide audience, including members of the general public.
