The ESRI supports sustainable travel and encourages visitors, event attendees and contractors to consider walking, cycling, shared mobility and public transport options when travelling to Whitaker Square. Our city centre location provides excellent access to DART, LUAS, bus, bicycle and pedestrian networks.
Walking: The ESRI is located in Dublin's Docklands and is within easy walking distance of major public transport hubs.
- 10 minutes' walk from Pearse Station (DART and Commuter Rail)
- 15–18 minutes' walk from Connolly Station (Irish Rail, DART and LUAS)
- 8–10 minutes' walk from Mayor Square–NCI LUAS Stop
- 20–25 minutes' walk from O'Connell Street and Dublin City Centre
Pedestrian access to Whitaker Square is available from:
- Cardiff Lane (beside the Clayton Hotel)
- Sir John Rogerson's Quay (beside the Three Ireland building)
- Hanover Street East
Rail and Tram:
DART and Commuter Rail: Pearse Station is the nearest rail station and is approximately a 10-minute walk from the ESRI.
LUAS Red Line: Mayor Square–NCI stop is approximately a 10-minute walk from the ESRI.
Bus Services: A wide range of Dublin Bus services operate along nearby routes, including North Wall Quay, Pearse Street and throughout the city centre.
Cycling: The ESRI supports cycling as a sustainable and healthy travel option.
Bicycle Parking
- Visitors requiring secure bicycle parking should contact admin@esri.ie in advance. Public bicycle parking is available in the surrounding area. Please note that bicycle parking is not permitted on Whitaker Square by the estate management company.
