Expert Group on Quality Investment in Education and Training
Selina McCoy has been appointed to the European Commission Expert Group on Quality Investment in Education and Training, as one of 15 experts from across the EU. The objective is to provide support to local, regional and national authorities to facilitate mutual learning, analysis and the sharing of good practices on investment in education. Such resources are also intended to contribute to the green and digital transitions and recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. The additional funding available through the Recovery and Resilience Facility also aims to support reforms and investments in education and training. The Expert Group will guide in the development of evidence-based policymaking, drawing on robust evidence on the impact, cost and challenges in implementing key policy measures. The group will focus on those areas that represent the bulk of education expenditure, including teachers and trainers; management of education infrastructure and related physical and human resources; and digital education (infrastructure and competence development).
