Information session: MSc in Economic Policy

The ESRI and the Department of Economics at Trinity College Dublin are now offering a joint MSc in Economic Policy programme. The MSc commences in January 2022 and is now accepting applications.

This course is an exciting opportunity for professionals interested in up-skilling their economics, policy analysis and quantitative skills. The combination of expertise from TCD’s Economics Department and the policy focussed research at the ESRI provides a unique programme that combines technical and evaluation expertise applied to Irish policy challenges.

The M.Sc. in Economic Policy is delivered by a team of engaged professors who operate at the forefront of their fields. The programme is a combination of mandatory core skills and specialist electives. In addition to micro/macroeconomics and quantitative methods, participants specialise in their area of interest through their dissertation and by choosing from the following optional electives:

  • Taxation and Welfare
  • Regulation and Banking 
  • Urban and Housing Economics 
  • Health Economics 
  • Behavioural Economics
  • Energy, Environment and Climate Change
