Perceived discrimination and young people’s health and wellbeing in Ireland: A longitudinal analysis
This event will launch a new study published as part of the research programme with the Department of Children, Disability, and Equality. The study examines the prevalence of perceived discrimination among young people at age 17 and age 25 in Ireland, across multiple grounds (including gender, race, age, sexual orientation and disability). It also examines the relationship between perceived discrimination and young people’s general health, self-esteem, life-satisfaction, depression and alcohol consumption. The study is based on the Growing Up in Ireland Cohort 98.
