Save the Date: Chronic absence in Irish schools, 2022/23 and 2023/24: Prevalence, intensity and reasons

Chronic absence, that is, missing 20 or more days over the school year, has grown significantly in Ireland since the pandemic. This event will present new evidence, conducted under a research programme with Tusla Education Support Service (TESS), on the reasons for chronic absence and how these vary across different kinds of school. The study draws on administrative data collected by TESS.
