This research study explores the role played by pre-employment interventions provided by the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) to assist those who are furthest away from the labour market, i.e. individuals who are classified as very long-term unemployed and with low levels of educational attainment. The research adopts a range of methods to identify the impact of pre-employment interventions and identify the supports that underpin their success.
