Webinar: Origin and Integration: Housing and Family among Migrants in Ireland

How do the housing conditions and family situation of migrants in Ireland compare to people born in Ireland? The report considers renting versus home ownership, overcrowding, homelessness, family structure, number of children and intermarriage of first-generation migrants using the 2016 Irish Census.

Minister Roderic O’Gorman TD will launch our latest report titled Origin and Integration: Housing and Family Among Migrants in the 2016 Census at this webinar.

It also includes an author presentation and discussion of the findings, as well as a policy response from Carol Baxter, Assistant Secretary, Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.

Dr Dáithí Downey, Head of Housing Policy, Research and Development at Dublin City Council will give his perspective on the report.
