Diane Sheehy

Research Assistant

Diane Sheehy joined the ESRI as a Research Assistant in the Economic Analysis Division in November 2025. She holds an MSc in Applied Economics from University College Dublin and a BA International in Economics and History from University College Cork.

Prior to joining the ESRI, Diane interned with the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council, where she contributed to the development of demographic projections for the Long-Term Sustainability Report. She also worked as an intern with the Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service (IGEES) in the Pensions Policy Unit at the Department of Social Protection, focusing on the gender pension gap.
