Donal McCarthy

Donal McCarthy was Director of the ESRI from 1966 until 1967. During his period as Director, he saw the Institute?s transformation from being the ERI to the ESRI. From 1931 to 1949 he was a University Lecturer and Professor of Mathematical Physics in UCC. He became Deputy Director (1949-1957) and Director (1957-1966) of the CSO, and Director (1966- 1967) of the ESRI.
