Summer Intern

Patricia Finlay joined the ESRI in June 2025 as an intern in the Economic Analysis division. She is contributing to papers using wholesale electricity market data to quantify the impacts of changes in market structures on electricity prices.

Patricia has completed her undergraduate study in Economics and Mathematics at Trinity College Dublin in 2025, having achieved a first-class honours degree. In this role, she studied expenditure in the Primary Care Reimbursement Service of the HSE, contributing to policy analysis in the Health Vote.

Her research interests include the microeconomics of the environment, labour, health, education and the tax and welfare system.
