Denis Conniffe

Denis Conniffe joined the ESRI in 1980 and retired as Research Professor in 2004. His ESRI publications can be accessed on the ESRI website. From 2004 until 2009 he was Research Professor in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting at NUI, Maynooth and he was a Professor in the School of Economics, at University College Dublin. Prior to joining ESRI he was employed by the Agricultural Research Institute (now Teagasc), commencing as a statistician and later switching to agricultural economics. He was a member of the Royal Irish Academy and a former President of the Irish Economics Association and of the Irish Statistical Association. His research interests were in econometrics and financial econometrics. Denis Conniffe died in January 2011. Tribute.
