Household Energy Expenditures: Policy Relevant Information from the Household Budget Survey

This paper utilised the national Household Budget Survey to examine patterns in energy use and their relevance to policy. Income elasticities for the various fuels were calculated and their implications assessed, with particular emphasis on the potential for policy to reduce or restrain greenhouse gas emissions.
