The Nationwide UK (Ireland) Savings Index, which measures overall consumer sentiment towards saving, rose in August, led by an increase in consumers who believed it was a good time to save in the wake of UK Referendum and Key Highlights: • Savings Index rises to its highest level since March • Increase is largely due to consumers who said August was a good month to save • Under-50s show biggest rise in sentiment • Rise comes after UK Referendum and Ahead of Government’s Autumn Budget as the Government prepares its Autumn budget.
