The RTB Rent Index, Quarter 2 2021

On an annualised basis, rents grew by 7.0 per cent in the second quarter of 2021. This growth rate is higher than that of the previous quarter (4.4 per cent) and the highest since Q1 2019 (which recorded growth of 7.4 per cent). The national standardised average rent stood at €1,352 in Q2 2021 – an increase of €32 compared to the previous quarter. There has been a decline in the number of tenancies registered with the RTB and used in our sample in Q2 2021 (13,884) compared to Q1 2021 (16,085).
