Housing and Child Outcomes

This in-person seminar will launch a new report on Housing Adequacy and Child Outcomes in Early and Middle Childhood, published as part of a research programme with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY).

The study draws on the Growing Up in Ireland study to explore the housing conditions faced by children and the implications this has for their cognitive, socio-emotional and health outcomes.

The study adopts a multi-dimensional approach to measuring housing conditions, incorporating housing tenure, suitability of accommodation, heating deprivation, neighbourhood disorder and housing mobility.
