William Brazil joined the ESRI’s energy team in October 2018. He holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin, in addition to an MSc and BAI from the same university. His doctoral dissertation focused on the use of choice modelling to identify the role of information interventions on the environmental impact of urban transport trips. Dr Brazil’s research interests include choice modelling, sustainable transport, electrification of transport and home heating, and the role of consumer behaviours in emissions reductions initiatives. In his previous roles Dr Brazil has worked on a number of projects examining methods of reducing environmental impacts within the energy and transport sectors via information interventions. As part of the ESRI team, Dr Brazil will work on electrification and decentralisation as part of the CREDENCE Project.
