Work at older age in Ireland

Research carried out for the Pensions Authority, using data from the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing, shows that lack of pension income is an important determinant of later-life working for both men and women in Ireland. The research also highlights that the self-employed may use longer working lives as a substitute for pension cover.
