Estimating Efficiency of the European Educational Systems

This research led by Professor Iulia Siedschlag is part of the European EFFEct project - Enhancing Efficiency and Effectiveness in Education funded from the EU Horizon Europe Programme. The key objective of this research is to estimate the efficiency of European educational systems, focusing on identifying the effects of the quantity and quality of human capital across EU countries on a comprehensive set of economic outcomes including productivity, wages, and the adoption and diffusion of digital and green technologies.

The results of this research will provide evidence to inform policies on education and training in EU countries aiming to enhance the effectiveness of education and training systems, and a more efficient allocation of resources.

The ESRI team works together with teams of researchers from universities in Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands.
