On Wednesday 12 September, ESRI researcher Claire Keane spoke to the Oireachtas Select Committee on Budgetary Oversight. She discussed research using the ESRI’s SWITCH model to analyse the gender impact of Irish budgetary policy.
The committee was established to enhance the role of the Oireachtas in the budgetary formation process. The committee reviews the macro-economic and fiscal issues that form part of budget considerations.
