Diarmaid Ó Ceallaigh

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Diarmaid joined the ESRI’s Behavioural Research Unit (BRU) as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in January 2023. His PhD research, carried out at Erasmus School of Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam, focused on understanding and tackling self-control problems that lead to people getting insufficient physical activity, and combined insights from both behavioural economics and health psychology.  He holds an MPhil in economics from Tinbergen Institute, the Netherlands, as well as an MAcc in accounting and a BComm from University of Galway.
