The research finds that there is little consensus among anglers on the best conservation measures to follow to improve the sustainability of salmon and sea trout stocks. In terms of angler behaviour, on average across all anglers, excluding mandatory releases, anglers released just 38% of the fish they caught, and larger fish are more likely to be kept for personal consumption.
