Sarah Curristan

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Sarah joined the ESRI in August 2021 and worked in the Social Research Division. She holds a BA in psychology from Trinity College Dublin and a masters in cognitive science from University College Dublin. Sarah recently completed her PhD at the School of Law at Trinity College. Her PhD research examined accountability among staff in the Irish Prison Service, with a particular emphasis on their experiences with human rights-led forms of prison oversight.

While with the ESRI, Sarah worked on research in the areas of Social Inclusion and Equality and Migration, Integration, and Demography. Her research interests also include criminology and penal reform, social inclusion, and mixed methods research.
