Ellen McHugh

Ellen joined the Social Research division as a Research Assistant in September 2023, working on the Health and Quality of Life team. Prior to working at the ESRI, she graduated from the MSc Economy & Society at the London School of Economics and from the BA Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, and Sociology at Trinity College Dublin. Ellen left the Institute in August 2026 to study for a PhD in Sociology at the University of Cambridge.
