Paul Redmond

Associate Research Professor

Dr Paul Redmond is an Associate Research Professor in the Economic Analysis Division. His research interests include labour economics, applied econometrics and political economy. Paul currently leads research programmes in the areas of minimum wage policy and skills mismatch. He is the technical co-ordinator for the Horizon Europe funded TRAILS project, which examines issues relating to skills mismatch in Europe (https://www.trails-project.eu/).

Paul is currently serving as the Managing Editor for the Economic and Social Review. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Electoral Commission’s Research Advisory Group. He is also an adjunct professor at Trinity College Dublin and teaches on the MSc in Economic Policy. 

Paul has published in leading international journals such as the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, British Journal of Industrial Relations, Oxford Economic Papers, Public Choice, Journal of Economic Surveys, among others.
