Dr Paul Redmond is a Research Officer in the Economics Analysis Division. His research interests include labour economics, applied econometrics, political economy and game theory. Paul has published in international academic journals such as Public Choice, European Journal of Political Economy and Politics. Paul obtained his PhD in Economics from Maynooth University in 2014. He also holds an MA in Economics from Maynooth University for which he was awarded the Geary Prize in Economics. Prior to joining the ESRI, Paul was a lecturer in economics at DIT Aungier Street and a research associate for the Irish Fiscal Policy Research Centre (publicpolicy.ie). His research on Irish fiscal policy has been cited by the European Commission and the National Competitiveness Council.
